Pavel Muraveiko was born on 26 September 1971 in the town of Maryina Gorka, Pukhovichi district, Minsk region, Belarusian.

In 1992 he graduated from the Minsk Higher Military-Political Combined Arms School (with a diploma with honours and a gold medal) and subsequently served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus as a commander of a motorised rifle platoon, company, chief of staff - deputy commander of a motorised rifle battalion, commander of a motorised rifle battalion.

After graduating from the Command and Staff Faculty of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus in 2001 (with a diploma with honours and a gold medal), he served as a senior officer of the department (planning) of Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, as a senior officer, chief of a group, chief of an organisation and analytical group of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, chief of a department of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, and chief of a department of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

In 2008 he graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (with a diploma with honours and a gold medal) and subsequently served as chief of the directorate, Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate – Chief of the Directorate, First Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

On 20 June 2013, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces – Chief of the Main Operational Directorate.

On 10 February 2022 he was appointed First Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus.

On 23 May 2024, Major General Pavel Muraveiko was appointed Chief of the General Staff - First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Belarus.
